Now that you have seen all our Post about type of Products we use, where they come from and advantages they provide we haven’t talk about a very important topic in the process of gluing down a project of Boat flooring, mostly Synthetic teak decking and Interior boat flooring, for Teak decking we’ll give a different Post explaining what type of products we use.
But for the Installation of Synthetic teak decking.
We use a two part adhesive called Marine Grade Bostik 940 Fast set/ 940 FSA:
Bostik Marine 940 Fast Set/940 FSA is a high performance, rapid moisture-curing, fast skinning, one-component, sealant/adhesive based upon Silyl Modified Polymer (SMP) Technology; specially formulated to withstand harsh marine environments.
•Possesses UV resistance, is sandable and paintable.
•Exhibits superior adhesion to porous and non-porous surfaces in most applications without the use of a primer.
•Maintains elasticity within temperature range of -40°F to 212°F (-40°C to 100°C).
The Use of this Adhesive is a very important Step in the process of the Installation of any Boat flooring in Synthetic teak decking, don’t let any company install your decks without using a Marine grade Adhesive that you can trust.
We only offer our costumers the best Materials so we can provide best results in the long run, its more expensive but we don’t like to cut corners in any way when we are installing a boat flooring.
